Marketing has been an important factor of business promotion and prospering for many years. Initially, it was implemented in traditional ways such as telemarketing, posters, and the powerful word of mouth. Since the introduction of the Internet however, internet marketing became a powerful player in the promotion and improvement of business branding.

Online Marketing is also known as internet marketing, e-marketing and web marketing. It's using different resources on the world wide web to promote a business, generate leads, and ultimately attract customers to the company. More than 40% of the world population has access to internet and at least 25% of them utilize the internet to search for their needs and wants.

There are many forms of Internet marketing such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing (SMM), Mobile & Email marketing. The most utilized form is SEO Marketing mainly because SEO utilizes all the other forms of internet marketing.

There are two types of Search Engine Optimization , Online and Offline. Online Optimization deals mainly with optimizing the company's website. Optimizing a website means inserting title, description, and the right keywords into the HTML coding of the website. The title, description, and keywords help search engines learn about your website and rank it in the search engine search results. Offline Marketing deals with items that are done outside the website such as advertising in other websites and forums, Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc..), and blog writing.

By continually utilizing online and offline SEO, a company will not only be found on the world wide web but also be rank high in search engines making it easier for customers to find the company and gain leads and clients.
